The 147 Sports Bars Premier Pool Series of events is rapidly becoming one of the most respected tournaments in English Pool. The series of events took place in 2014 at the 147 Sports Bar, Leeds in which is widely regarded as the highest quality cue sports venue in the UK.
The total prize fund Paid out in 2014 was £7,000. Played between March & December 2014 with 48 players per event the Series saw over 70 players battling it out for the money prizes. Arfan Dad won two of the five events and finished top of the leaderboard winning the overall series by just one point from runner up Lloyd Freeman.
The Grand final won by Yasar Hussain saw a brand new cloth used for the first time. The new Strachan 6811 Tournament Pool cloth received some amazing feedback from the players and club owners.
Mark Lamb, Tournament Director commented “The amazing thing about this cloth is it has had several competitions, money matches and hundreds of hours practice play and the cloth still looks and plays like new“.
“We are also lucky enough to have two time world champion Chris Melling use the venue on a regular basis and absolutely loves the cloth and playing conditions provided.
